In September 2024, the national production of crude steel reached 77.07 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.1%, with a daily output of 2.569 million tons, up 2.2% month-on-month; the production of pig iron was 66.76 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.7%, with a daily output of 2.2253 million tons, up 1.2% month-on-month; the production of steel products was 117.31 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.4%, with a daily output of 3.9103 million tons, up 9.3% month-on-month. From January to September, the national cumulative production of crude steel was 768 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.6%, with a cumulative daily output of 2.8047 million tons; the production of pig iron was 644 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.6%, with a cumulative daily output of 2.3519 million tons; the production of steel products was 1044 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.1%, with a cumulative daily output of 3.812 million tons.

In September 2024, key statistical steel enterprises produced a total of 62.87 million tons of crude steel, a year-on-year decrease of 7.9%, with a daily output of 2.0958 million tons, up 0.5% month-on-month; the production of pig iron was 58.45 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.2%, with a daily output of 1.9484 million tons, up 1.3% month-on-month; the production of steel products was 66.52 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.3%, with a daily output of 2.2172 million tons, up 6.0% month-on-month. From January to September, key statistical steel enterprises had a cumulative production of crude steel of 621 million tons, a cumulative year-on-year decrease of 3.0%, with a cumulative daily output of 2.2646 million tons; the cumulative production of pig iron was 555 million tons, a cumulative year-on-year decrease of 3.2%, with a cumulative daily output of 2.0244 million tons; the cumulative production of steel products was 617 million tons, a cumulative year-on-year decrease of 2.2%, with a cumulative daily output of 2.2515 million tons.
