BYD and Huawei Officially Announce Joint Collaboration!

BYD and Huawei have joined forces to launch the FAW Auto's Jiefang Leopard 8, a hybrid intelligent hardcore SUV with a price range between 379,800 yuan and 407,800 yuan. The two parties signed an intelligent driving cooperation agreement on August 27, focusing on the development of the intelligent driving system for the Leopard 8 model, which uses Huawei's Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS3.0 system. BYD has more than 4,000 R&D engineers in the field of intelligent driving and a full-stack self-developed high-level intelligent driving system named "Eye of the Gods," while Huawei contributes with its top-level technical expertise.

The Leopard 8 model is equipped with a 2.0T longitudinal high-power engine and a dual-motor power system for both front and rear, based on BYD's DMO super hybrid off-road platform and the latest DM5.0 plug-in hybrid technology platform, integrating CTC battery chassis integration technology. In addition, the Leopard 8 is equipped with a self-developed full-function version of the Yunrui-P system, which is on par with high-end brands worth millions, offering features such as active preview, body height adjustment, and more.
The Leopard 8 is the only new energy hardcore model with a three-row 6/7-seat design, meeting the practicality and flexibility needs of family travel. It will also provide users with a more intelligent and advanced travel experience through Huawei's Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS3.0 and BYD's self-developed intelligent cockpit system. The collaboration between BYD and Huawei showcases the leading edge of China's new energy industry chain, promotes the development of China's intelligent driving, and jointly creates a new business card for China's new energy intelligent vehicles.
