Recently, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the Administration for Market Regulation. Starting from now, the company will recall a portion of imported E-Class vehicles produced between February 19, 2024, and April 19, 2024, totaling 4 units.
In some of the vehicles covered by this recall, the grounding wire harness fastening bolts at the bottom of the vehicle body may not have been tightened according to the specified torque. This could lead to increased resistance in the area, causing a rise in temperature and posing a risk of fire.
Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will conduct free inspections and re-tighten the grounding wire harness fastening bolts for vehicles within the recall scope through authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers. If any parts in the connection area are damaged, they will be repaired to eliminate safety hazards. The company will also notify relevant owners of this recall via registered mail and other means.
