National IT & Industry Conference Held in Beijing

From December 26th to 27th, the National Conference on Industry and Information Technology was held in Beijing. In 2024, new strides were made in the modern industrialization drive, further solidifying the advantages of a comprehensive industrial system with a wide variety of products and large scale. It is expected that for the entire year, the value-added of industrial enterprises above designated size will increase by about 5.7% year-on-year, and the proportion of manufacturing value-added in GDP will remain basically stable. Manufacturing investment continues to expand, and the national industry-finance cooperation platform has helped enterprises break through the trillion-yuan mark in financing.

The meeting pointed out that in 2024, the high-quality development actions for key manufacturing industry chains achieved phased results, with a number of products realizing application and promotion. Industrial transfer docking activities have promoted the signing and landing of a batch of major projects; new breakthroughs have been made in industrial technology innovation, further optimizing and upgrading the industrial structure, with rapid growth in high-tech manufacturing and equipment manufacturing; new achievements have been made in the high-quality development of small and medium-sized enterprises; the high-quality development of the information and communications industry has been solidly advanced; and the level of modernization in industry governance has continued to improve.
