Jan-Nov: Profits of Large National Industrial Firms Drop 4.7

From January to November, profits of national industrial enterprises above designated size fell by 4.7%

The National Bureau of Statistics released data on December 27 showing that from January to November, the total profit of industrial enterprises above designated size nationwide reached 6.66748 trillion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 4.7%.

From January to November, the profit situation in the main industries was as follows: the non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry saw a year-on-year profit increase of 20.2%, the electricity and heat production and supply industry grew by 13.5%, the textile industry grew by 4.6%, the computer, communication, and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry grew by 2.9%, the agricultural and sideline food processing industry grew by 0.5%, the general equipment manufacturing industry fell by 0.1%, the special equipment manufacturing industry fell by 0.9%, the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry fell by 3.1%, the petroleum and natural gas extraction industry fell by 4.4%, the automotive manufacturing industry fell by 7.3%, the chemical raw material and chemical products manufacturing industry fell by 9.3%, the coal mining and washing industry fell by 22.4%, the non-metallic mineral products industry fell by 48.2%, the ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry fell by 83.7%, and the petroleum, coal, and other fuel processing industry turned from profit to loss year-on-year.
