On October 25, the China Iron and Steel Association held a press conference for the third quarter. It was learned from the meeting that in the first three quarters, the cumulative operating income of key statistical steel enterprises reached 4.54 trillion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 6.87%; the operating cost was 4.31 trillion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 6.14%; the total profit was 289.77 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 56.39%; the average profit margin was 0.64%, a decrease of 0.72 percentage points year-on-year. As of the end of September, the asset-liability ratio of key statistical steel enterprises was 62.91%, up 0.75 percentage points year-on-year.
