On November 1, 2024, the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) initiated the first sunset review of the anti-dumping industry injury investigation and the first sunset review of the countervailing industry injury investigation on carbon and alloy steel threaded rod imported from China, India, Thailand, and Taiwan, China. The review examines whether the substantial injury to the domestic industry in the United States would continue or recur if the existing anti-dumping and countervailing measures were to be revoked within a reasonably foreseeable period. On November 4, 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced the initiation of the first sunset review of the anti-dumping investigation and the first sunset review of the countervailing investigation on carbon and alloy steel threaded rod imported from China, India, Thailand, and Taiwan, China, as well as on carbon and alloy steel threaded rod imported from China and India. Interested parties should register with the U.S. Department of Commerce within 10 days from the date of this announcement. Interested parties should submit their comments to the U.S. International Trade Commission by December 2, 2024, and submit their comments on the adequacy of the comments no later than January 2, 2025.
On March 14, 2019, the U.S. Department of Commerce initiated an anti-dumping investigation on carbon and alloy steel threaded rod imported from China, India, Thailand, and Taiwan, China, and a countervailing investigation on the products involved from China and India. On October 16, 2019, the U.S. Department of Commerce made an affirmative final determination on the anti-dumping investigation of carbon and alloy steel threaded rod imported from Thailand. On December 4, 2019, the U.S. Department of Commerce made an affirmative final determination on the anti-dumping investigation of carbon and alloy steel threaded rod imported from Taiwan, China. On February 10, 2020, the U.S. Department of Commerce made affirmative final determinations on both the anti-dumping and countervailing investigations of carbon and alloy steel threaded rod imported from China and India.
