Recently, Shanghai Shenlong Bus Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirem)ents of the "Regulations on the Management of Recalls for Defective Automotive Products" and the "Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Management of Recalls for Defective Automotive Products." The company has decided to recall a total of 65 pure electric buses of the SLK6109USBEVL7 series, produced from December 13, 2021, to December 24, 2022, starting from January 30, 2025.
The vehicles within the scope of this recall have a problem where the high-voltage wire harness of the electric steering gear is not effectively fixed. During driving, the connectors may become loose, allowing rainwater and other substances to enter the connectors, leading to insulation failures. In extreme cases, this could cause the vehicle to lose power, posing a safety hazard.
Shanghai Shenlong Bus Co., Ltd. will inspect the high-voltage wire harness connectors of the electric steering gear for the vehicles within the recall scope free of charge. The company will add fixing clamps to the high-voltage wire harness and re-tighten it to eliminate the safety hazard.
